Web poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the house instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. After you have observed your hand and the casino’s first card, you need to either make a call bet or bow out. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantly to the bank. After the bet is the conclusion. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, including a figure equal to the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays out chips equal to your ante and fixed expectations on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
