Have you seen the new PokerPro holdem poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about two weeks back when I took a brief getaway with my mother to the WinStar Gambling den in Oklahoma.
As I anxiously waited for my turn to be summoned at the live tables, I watched how the other folks around the PokerPro tables relate with each other. It was very interesting to say the very least. Because the poker table was computer driven, there were no poker chips to do any chip tips, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was boring. Perhaps I was the only one that spotted this, except I did observe the players at the table had a lifeless quality to them. The reason behind this may possibly be since there was no human interaction with the dealer, the environment was relatively dull and the players looked bored to tears. It was nearly as if I was seeing a live variant of a web based hold em poker room rather than being seated with hot blooded humans. It was a little bit spooky and I kept flashing back to a show of Star trek and the holodeck broke down.
Since the waiting time for the reside tables was over an hour, I decided to see how the casino game action was and to experience this new texas hold em poker gaming technologies. Soon after betting a couple of hands, I really felt like I was playing at home. The lack of activity in the table was the primary reason. I like to stack and shuffle my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those items are feasible at these computer tables.
One more thing I noticed was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a lot of hands at the PokerPro table and noticed that the play was a good deal like an internet texas holdem poker site. That could have been just a coincidence, except I found it to become really odd.
Right after playing a couple of rounds with this "new texas holdem poker technology", I made a decision that the PokerPro tables have been not for me. I’m better off betting texas hold’em poker on the internet at residence and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling den had been to acquire rid of the live poker tables, I think they would shed a whole lot of gamblers.
