Focus Attention on Annie Duke

Annie Duke may not have captured her first WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but she remains one of the most feared poker competitors around the ring games at The Bellagio in Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP win came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While competitors from the "young crowd" of poker run wild after a huge win at the tables, Annie heads home to be "mum" to her four children. She was born in NH and grew up in a family of poker players. If you don’t believe that, check out her brother, Howard Lederer, in action, who taught Annie the best method to play poker.

However, Annie Duke is not a small fry kind of girl and has earned her share of difficult matches, which includes knocking out Howard along the way on several occasions.

Earning well over $3 million in tournament action, Annie branched out to become a advisor to both UltimateBet.com and actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to build up his skills to become a force at the poker table.

You may glimpse her at the Bellagio, you will catch her on television and you might just even compete with her in a net poker game, but don’t count on a simple win. Unless you’re a rising star, you’ll not beat her. although, it would be cool to say you sat at the same table as "The Duke".
