Web poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several variants on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the casino instead of each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier saying "No further bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course all of the other gamblers receive five cards. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original wager, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantly to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including an amount equal to the original bet. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your wager and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
